Welcome back to my blog!

After working feverishly on my book "Mastering Medisoft", I am able to join the blog world again.  Mastering Medisoft is a book published by Prentice Hall Publishing, AKA Pearson Education.  It will be used by colleges across the world (yes, world) to teach students Medisoft and medical billing.  I've been in the billing field for 25 years and didn't even know that other countries used Medisoft!

Here is a link to view details of the book:

Now that I'm back, I'm "chomping at the bit" to share the latest updates in the health care field.  Most urgently, the State of Minnesota is requiring electronic transactions (eligibility, claims and ERA) in 2009.   Three other states proceeded Minnesota in this requirement.   Then, the ICD-10 codes are slated to be implemented nationally in 2011.  This change will make the NPI implementation look like a cake walk.    Finally, EMR (electronic medical records) will be required in Minnesota by 2015 and many states are expected to follow.  Stay tuned to view the details posted for each item.  Plus, join my blog today so you don't miss anything.

Oh, and I would be remiss in saying that for this remaining week only, GatewayEDI is offering $200 off of the setup fee for electronic claims.  This special will be honored in all 50 states.

Again, welcome back to my blog!

Best regards,

Bonnie J. Flom
